The libraries serve students, faculty, staff and the local community at the University's Atlanta, Douglas County, Henry County, Macon and Savannah locations, as well as online students. Our libraries provide tailored, accessible resources through collections, partnerships and special services.
University Libraries
The Jack Tarver Library in Macon and the Monroe F. Swilley Jr. Library in Atlanta provide access to hundreds of thousands of books and other materials, in addition to more than a million academic journals, electronic books and streaming video titles.
Medical Libraries
The Skelton Medical Libraries in Macon support the independent learning activities of School of Medicine students, faculty and residents. The libraries provide a collection of biomedical books and journals in print and online as well as searchable databases and other resources. Anatomical models, charts and skeletons are also available for checkout.
Law Library
The Furman Smith Law Library in Macon is the center for legal information and research in Mercer's Law School. Students have access to a rich and varied collection of print and electronic resources, accessible from the law library’s website and the LawCat online catalog. The former features an extensive collection of annotated links to state and federal legal research materials.
American Baptist Historical Society Archives
The American Baptist Historical Society Archives is located on Mercer’s Atlanta campus. The collection includes historical records on the American Baptist Churches USA, which is comprised of 5,800 churches and 1.5 million people, in addition to documents from many different Baptist denominations in North America and around the world. The archives are the largest and most diverse collection of Baptist historical materials.
