Turn your WGTC associate degree into a Mercer bachelor’s degree
Through the partnership between Mercer University and West Georgia Technical College (WGTC), students who earn an associate degree from WGTC may transfer to Mercer to complete a bachelor’s degree in any of the following programs. The Mercer Next “West Georgia to Mercer” program focuses on a 2+2 pathway for students seeking to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Mercer upon graduation from WGTC. Under the articulation agreement, WGTC students can transfer up to 64 credit hours.
Note: Mercer will evaluate all previously earned credits for transfer credit eligibility, including courses not listed in the agreement.

Pre-Health Pathways
Students from TCSG (Technical College System of Georgia) member institutions are eligible to pursue a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University in one of the following Pre-Health pathway programs:
- Pre-Nursing → Traditional BSN Track
- Pre-Nursing – ABSN Track → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Pharmacy → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Medicine → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Physician Assistant → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Physical Therapy → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Athletic Training → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Public Health → Healthcare Leadership
- Pre-Clinical Psychology → Psychology
